Nothing

Every face we present to others
is a piece of ourselves
if we aren't careful
we leave nothing
for ourselves
Every piece of us given
to others when
we also need
some of us

We, so often,
scatter ourselves
for the needs of others
forgetting our own
Until we look
in the mirror
no longer recognizing
our own reflection

We aren't nothing
we are wonderful
amazing
worthy
deserving to be whole

So remember when
you're giving away
those pieces
to keep some for yourself

Pills

Pills, pills
they push them
to push away
our humanity
until we are
unthinking
uncaring

Empty shells of who
we used to be
I don't mean
the pills given
by doctors
found on pharmacy shelves
I mean the pills
meant to divide
the ones they try to
shove down
our throats
even as we choke
on their lies

Pills, pills
mean to
erase what we
could be come
something better
more humane
more caring

Love
Don't swallow
the lies
that divide

Sins

Do you know
her sins
could you
understand
that she
does not believe
that sins
are woven
in our skin

Do you know
her sins
would you
offer
yourself to
her worship
if she asked
you to

Do you know
her sins
can you
imagine
what delights
she has
in store

Love

 If you're ever going
to love someone
make sure it's
yourself
Everyone else might
abandon you
at some point

In your darkest hours
sometimes all
you will have is
yourself
Make sure you teach
your heart
that you are worthy
of every ounce of
love you show others
Be sure to save some
of that love
you're so busy
giving away for
yourself

You are just
as important
as anyone else
in this
entire world
Don't spend
your life
believing
their lies

Open your eyes
to see how
much love
you are
You are
so worth
of the love
you give others

Stealing Hearts, Taking Names

She's stealing hearts
taking names
she knows
that not everyone
is playing games
some people come
for the long term
those who only
play to win
who give
their hearts
again and again

She's stealing hearts
taking names
to see who
will top
the lists
who knows
that love knows
no bounds

She's stealing hearts
taking names
just to see
who knows
love is endless
boundless
bottomless
beyond understanding

Through the Heart

 She is on the lookout
for the arrow
the one trying
to shoot through
her heart

she'll run
she'll dodge
she'll arch
if she must
to try to
avoid it

She only wants
to share
her love
with the people
of her choosing
so Cupid
can keep
those arrows!

Cupid

 Oh cupid
sometimes you miss
if only I had those
feelings you keep
trying to get me
to feel
they might be
for you

Oh cupid
you can keep
your arrows in
that quill
I will share
my love
with who
I choose

Oh cupid
who says
love isn't
always shared
when a simple
smile is exchanged

Oh cupid
let's change
the world
one simple exchange
at a time

Wild

She is wild
her heart untamed
she knows
no master
save herself
this is the way
she will always be
for wild hearts
need no masters

She is wild
her thoughts
her own
she is a
free spirit
thinking beyond
the boundaries
of the boxes
humans often create

She is wild
for all those
who have tried
to change her
have failed
you can't change
a person's essence
no matter how hard
you try

She is wild
she will always be
herself

Lit

She is lit
like the night sky
her wings
carry her
into your dreams
where you
cover her
in kisses
only you can see

She is lit
like the darkest night
her desire
brings thoughts
into the world
that need thinking

She is lit
her light
will never be dimmed
even in
the darkest
of times

You Think She's Your Puppet

You think she's your puppet that you pull the strings when in reality only she controls  where the music leads  You think she's yo...

  • Balance
In all things there must be balance for when the tables turn too much when one becomes oppressed one must fall even from the heavens rippin...
  • Hating Yourselves
I know a lot of you are hating yourselves right now I want you to know that I don't I think you're precious a gift to the Universe ...
