Daydreams & Nightmares

Do all nightmares begin as daydreams

that become twisted in our minds?

Can we simply dream what we desire

eyes closed, waiting for them to come true?

Or when we open our eyes will we feel

the stranglehold of that invisible rope around our necks

as it tightens slowly, taking away our breath?

Do nightmares become days dreams when

the light of the sun is cast?

Or do they remain as dark as the blackest night?

Anything is possible

just open your eyes

Daydreams & nightmares all hold surprise

whether in the darkest nights or the brightest sun

If they come to pass then they are done

Sins of your oaths

Cover me in the sins of all the oaths

you've ever taken

let them stain my skin

with their lies

Until they run over me

like the words that came

unbidden from your lips

to my heart that wanted to believe

that love doesn't cause tears

I've heard the cries of those oaths

from the depths of their despair

like an arrow through my soul

Cover me in the sins of all the oaths

you've ever taken

I am stronger than their lies

Duality

We are all lessons in duality

both light and dark

day and night

happy and sad

We learn as much from our darkness

as we do our light

For without two sides

we could not savor the good in life

while we weep at the heartache

This duality makes us

who we are on any given day

at any given moment

It is something to cherish

to use to learn and grow

Trust your duality

Trust yourself

Be who you are meant to be

Never leave home without

Never leave home to wander your local graveyard without your best and your familiar. You never know the kind of mischief you can get up to so you might need all the help you can get.

Call forth a spirit or two, dance with the devil in the pale moonlight, or brew up a little something to share. Whatever you do, they'll always be there, right by your side. Y'all have fun together.

Never leave home without your familiar and your best friend, they are all you'll ever need.

Queen of Crows

She's the Queen of Crows

No one knows the secrets she keeps

Calling her birds while the world sleeps

She whispers in screams so they can hear

her words made so very clear

She tells truths yet unknown

While she travels the world alone

Her crows witnesses to mankind's woes

They tell the stories so bold and brave

Secrets in her ears the world craves

Yet they fail to stop to listen

to this raven haired beauty

and her minions

Human?

What is it that makes us Human?

Is it the ability to enjoy the wind

to smile, to laugh

To have our hearts beat

to bleed

to be broken

to be whole

What is it that makes us Human?

Is it who we are

who we will become

Where we've been

where we've yet to go

What is it the makes us Human?

Our ability to believe

in ourselves

in others

in the divine

in things we see

in those we don't see

What is it that makes us Human?

our ability to hate

to love

to take the time to understand others

to understand ourselves

What is it that makes us Human?

When in Wonderland

When in Wonderland be sure to snap some pictures

Your proof that the fantastic really does exist

to all those naysayers the Queen says

"Off with their heads"

while you wander around

eyes full of wonder

Snails as friends

Mushrooms tall as your shoulder

Snap those pictures to tell your tale

Quiet as you please

while they slowly exhale

Take your pictures to let them know

your imagination will always grow

You will share with them wonders

they can't possibly imagine

even as the cat fades away

as night shadows fall

Tell your tale

share your pictures

be yourself in all your wishes

Ice cream

"You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream!" Summer is in full, 100+ degree, force where I live so there is nothing like a little ice cream to cool myself down. After who doesn't smile when they have their favorite ice cream and some balloons?

With so many flavors, there is one for everyone, or even more if you prefer double scoop or more.

I'll enjoy it while I look over what is to come and think about what has been. I hope you take time today to enjoy a little treat, whether it is ice cream your scream for or something else.

Hooping at the beach

Summer is here in all its glory so I've decided to spend the day at the beach. As the waves roll into the rocks, I'll be hooping all around. arching my body to the spin of the hoop.

Getting my Vitamin D while I absorb some rays. I love summer days at the beach, just hooping along while I listen to the sound of the waves caressing the shore.

I hope each of you is able to spend some time doing something that makes you happy today.
