Pretty as a Picture

She's pretty as a picture
despite her flaws
or maybe because of them

Then lines of the brush caressing her
as they slide against the canvas
forming the reality she sees
when she looks in the mirror
She sees all her flaws

yet still loves herself
despite what others might say
She's pretty as a picture
if only you'll look past the surface

Be Mine

Won't you be mine
let me play
I'll take you to places you've never been
All you have to do is just give in

I'll wrap these cuffs around your wrists
Smiling all the while at these little twists

Won't you be mine
let me play

I promise you, you'll never forget the day
that I let my nails wander
as you lay cuffed to my desires

while your breath moans out
soft kisses
because you want more

Let me play with you
I'll tell you what to do

I'll guide you gently with my cane
Until you ask for it again

"A little harder" Did you say?
You really did come here to let me play

I'll teach you all the ways to please

All while you stay on your knees

Let me play with you
until you want to come again

Coffee!

It's early morning, what does that mean? The sun is just starting to come up as I take my walk.

I'm enjoying the quiet part of the day while sipping my coffee. What? You say it's too early for coffee? I don't think it's ever too early (or too late) for coffee.

Even the walls smile when they see the cup so how could I resist? Drinking coffee makes me smile.

I hope you do something today that makes you smile too.

Swim with the sharks

They say if you swim with sharks you might get bit
But I say, swim with those sharks, show them who bites

Try all the things you've been wanting to do but are afraid of
Swing for the fences
Write that story
Sing that song
Snatch that glory

Only you can write your story
So swim with those sharks, show them who bites
Show them that YOU are the one to be feared

That you love and believe in yourself so damn much
that nothing they say or do can possibly stop you

Cleanse Away the Day

I cleanse away the day as the water cascades
over my curves, dancing over my curves
My worries swirling down the drain
as I close my eyes to obtain
the serenity I seek

I wash off all the darkness
that touched my soul
standing in the water
becoming whole

I cleanse away the day as the water cascades
until I'm ready to take a swim
in the deepest ends
of my soul

knowing within my being
that I am whole

Tacos in Hell

I hope they serve tacos in Hell because that is where my friends and I will throw the biggest party of the decade!

I'll spin the tunes until the record player's needle breaks then I'll start again. Perhaps we'll discuss all the banned books while the tunes play or discuss the fate of man.

All I know is there will be tacos, music, books, and a lot of fun because my friends will be there!

Aloha State of Mind

It summer time, sum, sum, summer time! I happen to be in an Aloha state of mind.

What does this mean? Well I'm dreaming of vacation, all the fun I'll have, and the friends I'll be reconnecting with while eating this yummy watermelon pop.

Don't worry, I bought enough to share. If you're of like mind, looking for some fun, and friendship, I hope we meet in the near future.

Until then, I wish you sunny skies, watermelon pops, friends, and an Aloha state of mind.

Love is Love

Love is an act of defiance
in a world that screams hatred
constantly in our faces

Love is an act of defiance
when hatred is celebrated
by those in power

Love is an act of defiance
when we are told
we should not love
who we wish

Love is an act of defiance
in the face of hate

Love is an act of defiance
and I am going to defy
all who try to stop me
from loving
Love is an act of defiance
