Beach Day

Hooray! It's Beach Day! My pups and I can't wait to play.

A little surf, some sand, a few waves, and some sun,yes indeed.

We'll spend the day, hard at play. Just me with my favorite wieners along a lonely stretch of sand where seagulls would steal our lunch if they were fast enough!

A day of relaxation until the sun sets in the sky then we'll wander away, no one to ask us why.

Wicked Thoughts

The wicked thoughts I think of you

thoughts of my hands gliding over your flesh

lips pressed against lips in heated passions

the touch of your hand against my body

flesh against flesh in a dance only we understand

while the moon watches

death stares in envy

My wicked thoughts of you when I'm alone

can only compare to what happens when

we're together

Finer Things

Life is short or so they say

take time for the finer things today

whatever that means to you

if it's glitter, champagne, and glitz

or just a little ride in a canoe

You deserve happiness

things that put the smiles on your face

the happiness in your heart

all the good things

Stop, take a moment just to pause

enjoy the day before it passes

the finer things are for every day

Summer Sunset

Summer sunsets at the side of old paths

thoughts of those long gone

roads left yet to travel

smiles that will cross lips along the way

Resting for moments

playing with butterflies

coming so far in growth

with so far yet to go

Summer sunsets with thoughts of the past

thoughts of the present

wishes for the future

knowing nothing is set in stone

everything is wide open

Forgotten

What of the forgotten

in the lost corners of the gardens

will they bloom all of their own accord

Left to their own devices

seeds blown to them by the winds

carelessly planted wherever they land

Flowers spill from bags and books

imparting wisdom of the ancients

to those who dare to wander

in the lost corners of the gardens

where forgotten things go to bloom

Love is Defiance

Love is an act of defiance

in a world that screams hatred

constantly in our faces

Love is an act of defiance

when hatred is celebrated

by those in power

Love is an act of defiance

when we are told

we should not love

who we wish

Love is an act of defiance

in the face of hate

Love is an act of defiance

and I am going to defy

all who try to stop me

from loving

Love is an act of defiance

Boundless

There are no bounds to the Love we experience

Our laughter can't be held in simple melodies

Our Love is meant to be shared

Not caged within their boxed ideas

We are the future of hope

The future where Love is boundless

People are free to Love their chosen partners

We are the revolution of Love

You cannot erase us

because Love is a typhoon that cannot be stopped

Lazy Day

Lazy day with thoughts of you and pizza

Enjoying the things that make me smile

My eyes closed as my mind wanders

to what it feels like to have you touch me

Your hands wandering my flesh with feather softness

It's just another lazy day with thoughts of you

thoughts of me

thoughts of us

thoughts of what is yet to be

Just another lazy day in bed

Fly Away

Someday the time will come when I'll fly away

I'll take my wings to soar to parts my body can't travel

I won't need this shell any more

I'll fly away where words no long confine me

where boxes can't hold my ideas

where my thoughts are free

Someday the time will come when I'll fly away

until then, let my ideas lift others when they chance upon them

let me break down boxes, smashing barriers

let my thoughts be free to express the love that I am

That way, I am always free even in the confines of my shell

as I allow others to be free as well

WE ARE LOVE

Our Love knows no boundaries

none of the boxes they try to place Love in

none of the arbitrary words they try to use

We are not filled with love

WE ARE LOVE

Every fiber of our beings ARE LOVE

We know no boundaries to how we express Love

Words are inadequate to express what we feel

We refuse to be placed in boxes

bound by the walls they choose

WE ARE LOVE

Deeper than the ocean

more powerful than the wind

We pour out ourself into the world

into those we meet

those we love

those who we see in passing

WE ARE LOVE

We choose to be Love

to share Love

WE ARE LOVE

none can stop us

though many will try

WE ARE LOVE

is our battle cry

We shall scream it from the lowest valleys,

the highest mountains,

and the darkest caverns

WE ARE LOVE

and Love is a battle scream!
