Good News

Sometimes good news comes in the smallest forms

Just a little smiles

a soft kiss of a flower

the light touch of a hand

the message of a friend

Good news isn't meant to be kept all to ourselves

it's meant to be shared

with a stranger

with your neighbor

with your friend

with your lover

Good news is a simple flower

floating on the wind

waiting to be shared

Today I'm sending you

all the good news

all the love your heart can hold

Song I Can't Forget

You're the song I can't forget

when the lights are turned down low

the never ending melodies

of love that ever flows

You're the song I can't forget

that repeats through my mind

thoughts of you

thoughts of me

thoughts of us

a never ending swirl of love

You're the song I can't forget

when the sun hits the horizon

another day of your sweet love

to fill my thoughts with hope

You're the song I can't forget

even when I'm alone

Fortune

You say you want your fortune told

a look into the future

Do you know who you call

when you ask for just that glimpse

could be what you least expect

a demon from beyond

Come to tell you the truth

of what your future holds

Will you learn to change your ways

to part with your path of hate

Or will you stay your current ways

leading you to the demon's clutches

What happens is all up to you

She will tell your future

but only you can change it

Turn up the music

come skate with me

we'll relive the memories

remember when we were young

time didn't matter

money was no object

and love was all you need

Turn up the music

come skate with me

we'll make fresh memories

of laughter

good times

love ever lasting

Turn up the music

come skate with me

we'll pretend the world

doesn't harbor any hate

or want to change who we wish to be

we'll just turn up the music

because we know love is all you need

MINE!

Mine, one small word that says it all

The word that describes what you are to me

Mine, my little one, my world

Part of my heart I'd never want to be without

Such a small little word that speaks so loud

every little thing that needs to be said

You could be anywhere, anytime

Yet here you are, MINE

Music

The melodies wash through my mind

wandering through the corners of my darkest thoughts

they wash away those bad vibes that try to close in

Just a few songs, I am swept to a different time

a different place where all there is only love

in times where there is on melodies

Those bad vibes can't follow no matter how hard they try

I listen, a queen, in my own space and time

drifting away on the notes of the music

leaving the bad vibes behind

Reaper of Souls

She's a reaper of souls

from this mortal plain

she takes them beyond

the heartache and pain

Will you take her hand

when she offers it to you

leave your shell behind

travel beyond what you can see

Fly with her, this reaper of souls,

into dimensions yet to behold

where the mind and spirit become one

Reach out to her

when your need arises

she will answer

Red Gown

Did you notice she wears a red gown

Could you pick her out of a crowd

Would she capture your attention

Or would you walk on by

She wears a red gown

The color of passion

As fiery as the dawn

Not to get you to notice

But to entice your passions

To make your heart skip a few beats

Did you notice she wears a red gown

or were you buried in your phone again

Water Washes

Water washes it all away

the sorrows, the troubles of the day

washing away what makes her sad

turning things from mad to glad

Water washes it all away

she smiles as it pours over her skin

feeling more herself again

The life giving water

she will someday become part of

as she becomes nothing

but part of the vastness there is

Watermelon

Ah the sweetness of a watermelon as it passes my lips! There is nothing quite like it. The taste always a signal summer is upon us. Time for picnics, bar-b-ques, and time by the water.

I always buy the juiciest, biggest one so there is plenty to share.

Taking my time to savor every bite with a lick here and there. Hope you have the time to taste the sweetness of some watermelon today.

We Wear Black

We come from the shadows

of darkness unknowns

calling from the books

shadows untold

What most hold down

within themselves

We hold close

our demons no longer

part of us now

We know the truth

none is an island

each hold both light and darkness

We come from the shadows

to show the way

dust to dust

we'll all go some day

Beauty

What do you think is beauty?

Is it something fleeting

seen for but moments in time

on the outside

Is it something we can feel

when we close our eyes

allowing ourselves to open our minds

What do you think is beauty?

Is it small or ever expanding

A drop of water or the oceans

What do you think is beauty?

Flowers' Petals

Some flowers grow only by the light of the moon

when the sun isn't shining

Just like some people bloom in the darkness

with only a sliver of light to show the way

A flower's beauty can't be judge by the light

which bathes its petals

Nor by the mere appearance of it's petals

it is judge by the whole of the flower

Each of us is a flower

we've bloomed in the smallest sliver of light

we are more than what is shown in one second

more than a single petal
