Spell on you

She'll put a spell on you
with her words
as they form the spirals
of glistening light

Shards straight to your heart

She'll put a spell on you
you'll never want to end
Just when you think it will

she'll start it again

She'll put a spell on you
right from the start
after all, loving people
truly is an art

Playing in the rain

There are some days when only playing in the rain will do.

The feel of it on my hand, washing away the cares of the day.

I turn as it caresses my face, like a lover so gently, as it washes away the sadness I feel. Some people don't like the rain, say it sad and gloomy, but if you want things washed away the rain is very soothing.

Love Letters

Sleeping with love letters
to remind me of you
All the words said
with your open heart
right to mine

I fell asleep
resting my head on the box
after memorizing every line

I'll send you sweet kiss
in my dreams
just so you know our love
is what it seems

When I wake
I'll read again
all these words that you have penned

Words

If you read the words in me
you would understand the songs
I don't sing

You would know that I see things
far beyond you and me
deeper than the mirror
you reflect to the world

You could read these words
written on my flesh
To understand that love
is my ultimate quest

That blocks you see
don't block me
Read the words in me
to understand how my story
will be told

No Angel

I'm no angel
that much is true
but I still have great love for you
In my heart
In my soul
I want to make the world whole

These tears I cry
filled with sorrow
for those who will never see tomorrow
I love you
even after you're gone

But while you're here
I'll hold you near
hold you dear
with my heart
because love has to have somewhere to start

If I share my love with you
I hope you'll know what to do
share that love with someone else
until all the world can be filled
with love without conditions

Karaoke night

It's Karaoke night so I've decided to go as the other part of myself, my alter ego who happens to be of the male persuasion. He really  likes to sing a lot more than I do so he's better for this type of fun!

He'll sing most any song that happens across a Karaoke board, even to an empty room. If he happens to knock back a few Jello shots, well all bets are off about how good his singing might actually be but he'll still have fun!

Get to know him, well you might be surprised, because almost all of us have both feminine & masculine sides.

Fan the Flames

Breathe your words
like the fires they flame

As they spill from your lips
Entangled upon your tongue
Drifting your fire to
The ears, hearts, & minds
Who hear them

Your words fire
To fan the flames
Of light & love so

Breathe them
Like the fires they flame

Bad Girl

She's a bad girl with a big heart
she'll love you 'till she dies
she'll be your most fun friend
make you laugh until you cry
Love you through the bad times

support you through the good

She's a bad girl with a big heart
your best friend for life
she'll teach you how to have fun
until the day is done

She's a bad girl with a big heart
made to love forever
if you ask her how she got that way
she'll tell you never

She's a bad girl with a big heart
though she'll never tell you why

What dreams may come

What dreams may come to those who choose
to close their eyes against the darkness
dreams of past
dreams of present
dreams of future
dreams beyond what can be imagined

What dreams may come to you
to me
to us
to them
Dreams of what could possibly become

What dreams may come on late nights
when birds take flight
dreamers dare to dance
romance become love
death becomes life

What dreams may come if only you choose
to open your eyes then follow your muse

Mixed Messages

The world sends up mixed messages
Be yourself
but not like that
Love yourself
but not like that
Care about others
but not like that
Show love
but not to those people

Who were you before all these mixed messages?

Were you free to be yourself
just as you are
Love yourself
just as you deserve
Care about others
just as they are
Show love
without worry

Let's go back to who we were
before they filled ours minds with
mixed messages
Be yourself
Love yourself
Care about others
Show love
