Ride the Wind

 

She leans into the silences of the wind

slowly giving way to the music she hears

pieces of herself giving way

carried to places seen yet unseen

places she has yet to imagine

The wind's silent music moves her

in ways that can't be seen

to the very core of her soul

her essence giving way to the call

of the Universe

She follows the music only she can hear

listening to the songs of ancestors long forgotten

until they impart to her wisdom

knowledge beyond books or written word

All this she learns in the wind's silent song

as she gives away the pieces of herself

on the waves
